Mr. Arthur Collier, 84, loving husband and devoted father was promoted to glory on August 28, 2009 while at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born on October 10, 1924 in Savannah, Georgia. He was a dedicated worker and member of Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church. Arthur served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He is survived by: loving wife, Esther Hayes-Collier; eight children, Deborah Collier, Victor (Yvonne) Collier, Anthony (Pam) Collier, Veon Collier, Tony (Loretta) Collier, Ansonya Moore, Alexis (Antoine)Daye and Maria Thompson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Pearl Bryan, and daughter, Leisa Thompson. He also leaves to cherish his memories, an abundance of grand children, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Monday, August 31, 2009 at Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church, 1015 East Gwinnett Street, Bishop K.E. McNeal, Officiating; Interment, Magnolia Memorial Gardens; Reposing in the church from 9:00AM until hour of service.
