Florence Baker

October 2, 1919 - August 22, 2007

Mrs. Florence Baker, 87, passed away on August 22, 2007 at Tara Nursing Home. She was member of Happy Home Baptist Church for over 71 years. She was a charter member of the Progressive Ten #164. She was also a past President of the Happy Home Deaconess Board. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Deacon Charles H. Baker Sr. She was also preceded in death by her four sisters and one brother. She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Charles H. Baker Jr., James A. Baker (Eddie Mae), and Minister Jerome Baker (Cleo); two daughters, Janice R. Baker and Connie Baker White (John); one brother, Thomas Pinckney; one sister-in-law; Ernestine Pinckney; eight grand children; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. She will be reposing at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
