Ms. Cynthia D. Champion, 56, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Candler Hospital. She was a native of Savannah, Georgia. She worked as a Dietician's Assistant for St. Joseph's Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Akileah Z. Champion; two brothers, Alvin L. Champion (Margaret) and Henry Champen (Alene); three uncles, Birdell Henry, Ralph Henry, and Robert Henry; two aunts, Gayle Phillps, and Selena Devillars; nieces, Shekinah Smith, Shemariah Smith, Wakea C. Brown, Caron Champion, and Samantha Smiley; nephews, Keon Bell, Harmon "Keon" Lee, and Brandon Johnson; grandnieces, Shekinah Smith and Shemariah Smith; dear friend, Janise Nedd; devoted friends, Kimberly Wright, Elisa Lee, Toni Hall, Demetrie Spells (Bobby), and Hope Malls; and a host of cousins and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 6:00PM in the chapel of Williams and Williams Funeral Home; Reposing at the funeral home until the hour of service.
