Ernestine Strickland

Savannah - Ms. Ernestine Strickland, 73, the mother of the late Chartles Strickland, died Sunday at her sister's home in Stone Mountain, GA. The Liberty County native was a member of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, Ernest Strickland of Walthourville, GA; a son, James E. Strickland; two daughters, Edna L. Strickland Boyd and Lashun Denise Strickland; daughter-in-law, Margaret Strickland, all of Hinesville, GA; three sisters, Etta M. West Stringer of Stone Mountain, GA, Rhodena Barnes of Fayetteville, GA, and Josephine West of St. Albans, NY; brother-in-law, William C. Stringer of Stone Mountain, GA; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services and viewing will be held at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 801 Wilder Road, Walthourville, GA. Viewing is Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 9-11AM. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Savannah, GA at Hillcrest Abbey East.
