Marguerite Brown

Mrs. Marguerite Brown, 92, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Azalealand Nursing Home. She was a native of St. Helena Island. She lived in Savannah, GA for the last 74 years. She was a member of Israelite Baptist Church, where she was the church mother. She also served on the Pastor's Aide Board, Usher Board, and Willing Workers. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Charles Brown (Barbara), and Joseph Brown (Glenda); three daughters, Bernice Kinbill, Betty Wardlaw, and Joan Brown Simmons; brother, Henry Smalls (Hester); sister, Dorothy Seabrooks; son-in-law, Wallace Brown; daughter-in-law, Connie Brown; a host of grands; a host of great grands; a host of great-great grands; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services for Marguerite Brown will be held 12:30 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Israelite Baptist Church, 220 E. 31st Street, Savannah, GA 31401. Burial: Mary Jenkins Cemetery, St. Helena Island, SC. Visitation: 7-8 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008 at Israelite Baptist Church. Reposing at the Church 10 a.m., Saturday until hour of service.
