Ret. Staff Sgt. Luther "Doc" Dockery, 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Hospice Savannah. He leaves to cherish his memories: five daughters, Paulette Saunders, Ann Dockery Tommer (Edward), Terry Newton (James), Kathy Dockery Robinson, and Melissa Dockery; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Mclaurin and Lula Dockery; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; caretaker, Roshawn Nunnally; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral service for Mr. Luther "Doc" Dockery, 12 noon Tuesday, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 1401 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Interment: Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, military honors. Reposing at the church Tuesday 9:30 am until hour of service.
